InSTEDD – Web 2.0 is not just about the money. The power of the Web and social networks is being harnessed to addressed some of the most importnt issues we face. InSTEDD is just one example. The Web is the global brain to help us learn and perform better.
On Managing A Community | chrisbrogan.com – Chris Brogan weighs in on the emerging role of community manager. While his focus is on a media and events company, it is food for thought on what the tasks and measures should be for a learning community manager – a central role in Learning 2.0.
Morgan Stanley’s March Internet Trends Report: Social Applications Dominating – Oh what a difference a year makes! A report chock full of data on the amazing and continuing growth of social networks. As this becomes a communications standard, it will have huge impact on how we work and learn.

Enterprise 2.0 industry matures as businesses grapple with its potential | Enterprise Web 2.0 | ZDNet.com – Dions take on Forrester prediction that "the Enterprise 2.0 space will be a $4.6 billion industry within 5 years.."
Enterprise 2.0, Not Just An Afterthought Any Longer – Barb Mosher does a nice summary piece, but misses some key points from the FLATNESSES model. It is too simple to define E2.0 as "simply the enterprise version of tools like social networking, blogs, wikis, mashups, RSS and other Web 2.0 technologies"

WatchingTV Online – Blog I just discovered tracking the move of television to the Web. If their theme is correct, this will be a "threat to big media". No saying how the convergence game will play out, but converge we will!
The Mobile Web Was Born Only Yesterday – I agree wholeheartedly with Michael: "So I disagree that The Mobile Web is dead. For many of us it is just coming alive." Just look at the use of mobil outside the US. The future of the Web is a mobile one.
Social Aggregators Emerge To Manage Digital Lifestyles [Dion Hinchcliffe’s Web 2.0 Blog] – Dion's wonderfully brief post about the rise of social aggregation. This HAD to happen as social fatigue sets in. These will be a model for the future of managing one of our auxillary brains (our social graph(s))

I Saw The Future Of Social Networking The Other Day – Another peek into the future that sees the Web (as most people predict, a mobile Web) as ancillary memory for us. As you read through Michael's blog, think about the impact this will have on learning and collaboration.

Digg, Wikipedia, and the Myth of Web 2.0 Democracy. – "At both Digg and Wikipedia, small groups of users have outsized authority." No one ever expected it to be truly democratic, but it does give pause as to who is deciding what learning we get – probably still better than the norm.
Is User-Generated Content Out? | Newsweek Technology | Newsweek.com – "The individual user has been king on the Internet, but the pendulum seems to be swinging back toward edited information vetted by professionals." The trend continues. I still believe their is a huge "curator" role for editors to play.
Where Every Ad Knows Your Name – Bits – Technology – New York Times Blog – Loise Story of the New York Times asks an insightful question that reveals just how far we have come in "personalizing" the Web. It certainly raises privacy issues, but it also open the possibility of tailored content and delivery.
