Julie is the founder and president of Concerted Solutions, where she leads the team in providing human resources, training, learning and change management initiatives and hybrid conference management. Founded in 2003, Concerted Solutions has successfully provided solutions for commercial, association and federal government clients. She led the team in successfully receiving an 8(a) SDB certification award from the Small Business Administration in 2009. Prior to Concerted Solutions, Julie worked with the corporate team that executed the start-up of Children’s Pediatricians & Associates of the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, which they grew successfully into a multi-million dollar physician organization. At CP&A, she was directly involved in all facets of the acquisition of physician practices, strategic practice management, change management, compliance management, competency modeling, physician and staff recruitment, compensation, benefits, development and training. She was previously human resources director for Meristar Hotels & Resorts where she provided HR leadership at two luxury hotels. She was previously the human resources director for The Madison Hotel; and human resources manager for the Westin City Center Hotel.

She is a certified and accomplished professional in meeting and event planning, and an adjunct professor in event management at the George Washington University. Her 25 years of professional experience include selecting venues, negotiating contracts, successfully planning and executing meetings, and meticulously managing large conferences for an international associations. She was previously assistant general manager for a luxury hotel in Washington DC, where she oversaw the food and beverage, banquet and catering sales operations. She has extensive knowledge in managing food and beverage operations, recruiting and training staff, and executing positive customer satisfaction strategies in the luxury hotel industry. These hotels include The Willard Inter-Continental, The Madison Hotel, and The Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC.
