Book review: Leaving ADDIE for SAM: will agile eLearning development become mainstream? – Challenge to Learn – This is very similar to the Rapid-ADDIE model we use. I think it is inevitable as e-learning follows software into the SaaS model where everything is perpetual beta.

Designing a Web-Based Learning Ecology — Informal Learning Blog – Jay Cross’s thoughts on building an ecology to support informal (and formal) learning. A rich and broad collection of ideas and new learning tools. It touches on much of how Web 2.0 ideals will drive the evolution of Learning 2.0.
Web 2.0 and the Evolution of Instructional Design – Jay Cross’s wonderful article melding the ideals of Web 2.0 with instructional design and learning. He covers much of Web 2.0 quite well, but only touches briefly on perhaps the most powerful concept: social learning and crowdsourcing ID
When do you stop designing? — Internet Time Blog – Jay Cross weighs in on ISD/ADDIE and how it needs to be flexible based on the content and context. His discussion is circular and what starts are castigation of ADDIE returns to a very ADDIE-like model.

Harold Jarche : Strategies for online collaboration » The future of learning is DIY – A brief reflection on the growth of "do it yourself" learning that has evolved as the Web has grown. Great opener: "If someone asks me what’s the best learning management system, my initial response is – Google."
Evolution and Scientific Literature: Towards a Decentralized Adaptive Web – "As our systems grow more sophisticated, we will see applications that support not just links between authors and papers but relationships between users and information repositories, and users and communities."
Learning from E-Databases in an E-Data World (EDUCAUSE Review) | EDUCAUSE CONNECT – A broad article that reviews the poor state of data gathering and discoverability on the Web. It frames a core concern with using the Web as a learning platform: that the data available is often uncaptured or not easily discoverable.
